Walnut Grove

A village of Free Furniliars in southern Terle. The governor of Walnut Grove is a Hat Rack named Mayor McRack. The job of town clerk and sheriff are done by a Writing Desk named Peg.

Some residents of Walnut Grove would have visitors call the town Furntopia, saying that Walnut Grove had been the town's "meat name." What this means, and the dark implications hinted at about the founding of the town are outlined in Book 9, but the narrative is thick reading, and the meanings are ambiguous. It seems as though a furniliar named Bannister the Stationary lead some sort of revolt.
