The Fifth Trial

The Fifth Trial Giver was Syronoxilo, who decided to, through her trial, show Cohor a part of the world he would otherwise never see, by forcing him to live there as a member of its native race and work in a career specific to that region for ten years, returning him to his previous location and point in time and original age and form at the exact end of that time period. Cohor vanished, reappearing seconds later wearing a kimono and thick white makeup, but otherwise normal - except that he now had the ears and tail of a cat, courtesy of a Kin Ki (Syronoxilo was unable to cure this condition). This explains why he experienced great discomfort during the swimming portion of the Omniathlon that was The Seventh Trial (Cohor's overcoming of this problem impressing the Seventh Trial Giver, Linak). Cohor's condition was eventually cured by an unimaginably unlikely astronomical event during The Eleventh Trial.
