Magniloquent palavercation

Magniloquent palavercation is an example of the arts of sorcery and spellcrafts devoted toward the intent of producing rhetorical patterns to the effect of beguiling and confusing individuals or groups of people. The spell is generally effective against all seemingly intelligent creatures, although notable exceptions include the most High Elemenstors and warrior Pixlies. The spell's intricacies are a closely guarded secret among wizards, although it would be theoretically conceivable that mages or elemenstors might learn it.

It is unsure where magniloquent palavercation was originally conceived, althought it is generally agreed that the most successful use of the spell is where a wizard used magniloquent palavercation to convince Enseven Illibar to eventually lead the Chaotician Gemmerach-dancers. It has also been suggested that perhaps the inspiration for the The Shaft-Case of Bowsar came during the wizard's enchanting speech.

According to legend, the first Wizard to research the spell originally had desired to call it "befuddling speech," though after her first successful casting of the spell, she re-named the spell Magniloquent palavercation.

The Wizard Mardrangion is known to have actually killed a thousand enemies with this spell during the Siege of Trembaloo. How that is even possible is purely a matter of speculation. He was pretty mad at the time, though.
