Summary

Summer and Victor butt heads when student elections roll around and end up running against each other, as well as against football jock Brad and Chess Club president Earnest. Meanwhile, Sparks and Brian have a contest to see who can pick up the most girls and the Leech family goes to look at colleges.

Synopsis

Class President Elections are coming, with somewhat predictable results: The only two students running for president are brain-dead wonder jock Brad Conroy and buck-toothed supernerd Earnest Witwicky.

Mr Shezor makes a desperate plea that someone else run so that the school won't glorify Brad anymore than he already is. Victor and Summer decide to run together, but Victor gets angry that Summer sees the election as another affirmation of her own populariy and has no plans for when she's actually elected. This drives a wedge between them eventually causing Vic to decide to run on his own.

However, Summer is injured at cheerleading practice, and Brad ends up nearly getting squished by a locker, causing everyone to suspect foul play. After putting aside their differences, Vic and Summer discover that Earnest's mother is actually a powerful Witch who has decided to use her powers to take out all of her son's competitors. After a magical duel, Vic and Summer manage to subdue her and bring her to justice. At the election, Summer and Brad both resign once they relize the position requires some actual work, and Earnest is disqualified, leaving Victor the victor.

Meanwhile, Sparks and Brian have an argument over who is the best ladies man. They make a wager to see who can get the most dates in a week. Brian however, forefeits when he ends up meeting a girl he genuinely likes.

In the last story, Melissa's parents take her and her younger and more studious sister to look at colleges in the hopes that it will inspire their daughter to give up her lifestyle of drinking, bitching, and sleeping around. It doesn't work, and Melissa gets drunk at a kegger and ends up sexually involved with an entire college football team at the same time. The Leech family is then eternally banned from the campus.

Notes

Rachel Leech, Melissa's younger sister, is introduced for the first time in this episode. Although a supporting character in Season 1, producers have said she will have a starring role in Season 2.
