Great High General Warchieftain F'KrUK

Also See: Higgerath. Siege of Arkleaf. Three Generals of the War Men

Wise and old and lucky as a Great High General Warchieftain of the War Men often is*, F'KrUK actually rose to the position of Great High General Warchieftain through his bold and cunning leadership of the Axe-Heavers clan. Fierce in Battle and respected among his compatriots he was a natural choice to take old K'runn'K's seat at the Great High General Warchieftain's table.

Skullwedge, Great Heft Axe

A massive, heavy weapon second only in power and destructive force to Rockbone, Great Thunderaxe of Rock-Hitting. Use of Skullwedge in Battle requires some degree of forethought, a quality not often present in the War Men clans. The axe is so big and heavy that while one of its swings can smash a wagon clean in two or break the back of a Minotaur with a satisfying snap, it is also true that the wielder is often afforded only one swing before faster, smaller axes can cut him down. Therefore judicious selection of targets and a certain combination of strength, stamina and timing is required not just to use the axe effectively, but to use it effectively more than once.

The Axe-Heavers Clan

Read about the clan on the Axe-Heavers page.

Exploits

  • Frequent childhood exploits lead to near constant punishment mostly involving chopping firewood
  • Unwittingly develops superior axe-wielding techniques during the Years of Firewood Correction
  • Hefts larger and larger axes in Battle
  • Decides Skullwedge is about the his size and promptly takes it
  • Several other War Men argue about this
  • Several caved skulls later, the Axe-Heavers have a new Warchief
  • Leads the clan in many successful Battles
  • 17,919 - Old K'runn'K dies and F'KrUK takes his place. This time no-one argues.

* Well, Gron was old and lucky at least. Two out of three ain't bad**.

** This phrase had always disturbed Ruuk'K'K'u, Despiser of Wing'ed Things although no-one could fathom why.
