In Book 8 the myth collides with Young Asana Millytopthought, who discovers that Eldersbane is very real.

Although the events of Book 8 banished Eldersbane to the Cataclysmic Bluont, Khan Khan, a remaining Archmagi managed to position it back in Battal through eldritch means, and then proceeded to raise dark army to attempt an invasion of The Kingdom of Parsonya as seen in the Return to Eldersbane book in the Great Wars of Battal series.
