Deathwalking

Deathwalking should not be confused with Zombification, as it is a far more powerful ability and significantly more complex in its execution. Where Zombification is the simple reanimating of previously animate matter, Deathwalking creates a powerful creature of the Living Dead; sentient, capable of rational, cognizant thought, a far cry from the shambling remains of a zombie of the Undead. It is suspected that Deathwalking is the process which initially gave rise to Vampyres, but given that no Doomenor of recent historical record has ever been able to channel this most strenuous of powers, the theory remains untested.

The little that is known of Deathwalking is said to be contained in sacred tomes hidden deep within the Temple of Death, but even the existence of such a book remains a myth. Still others suspect the secrets lie within the dangerous pages of The Necrowombicon, but all who read this book seem to succumb to madness or a horrific fate so its secrets may remain hidden forever.
