The Blood Wars
A brutal and bloody conflict on the low plains of The Kingdom of Yymp. Cloaked in Epic fog, the war had been wages since time out of mind... indeed, as if time itself got really drunk and didn't know what it was doing.
The rules of The Blood Wars were simple. If somewhere in the course of history, there was a dispute, robbery, murder, or even an argument between members of two or more families the burden of settling it was given to them. Their children and their children's children inherited the problem until it was settled. This was done in either of two ways, death or banishment. Not only of the offending family member but of the entire bloodline, forever. Once a family was forced up onto the plateaus they could not return.
In Tales of Yorn, Yorn's father chose to escape rather than to die. He and his son were the last remaining of their line. As a teen, it is Yorn who ultimately ends the conflict through events told in his story.
