Untime

Do you like being able to experience things in a linear and comprehensible fashion? Then it's a safe bet you're hella-unfond of Untime.

Untime is a semi-gaseous matter not unakin to time gas, except that it lacks time gas's relatively benign effects, partially because untime is about as safe to breathe in as a giant cloud of copper motes small enough to breathe in yet big and sharp enough to clog and tear up up your breathing tubes. Within Untime, to quote one of the survivors of The Burnten'ed Times, "Causality first gets drunk, then drowns in a pool of his own vomit, then explodes."

It would be inappropriate to say that time goes forward, backward, inside-out, and tunnels through N-Dimensional space within an untime cloud, because there is no actual time within a cloud. Due to the bizarre nature of untime, the longer a pocket of untime exists, the more likely highly unlikely events will occur.

The Demon God Resh'zantharr stored untime in his lungs and coughed up a cloud of it in the hopes that something might spontaneously generate within, survive long enough to grow to maturity, and be pissed off so much by the experience that it would launch a war against all things good and linear. In a startling twist, this is exactly what happened, birthing the Rhaja Lord.

It goes without saying that Chronosorcellors loathe untime with a passion, as Timenes cannot exist within an untime cloud. Indeed they should, for untime is to blame for the asynchronous chaos of The Blood Wars.

Untime can be cleaned off the face of the world with warm, soapy water. A death wish helps, too.
