Zonik Theodorus Hegehaug

Very powerful and skilled Quilp Wizzard, able to reach speeds up to Mach 3. Zonik was introduced in Light Wings, Book 2 of the Quasar Riders of Zonardia. Zonik was a childhood friend of Captain Drim Brick who betrayed him but later had a change of heart. Zonik was generally presented as greedy (particularly for gold and Gemeralds), cowardly, and being afflicted with ADD. Although once able to stop on a dime, Zonik has gotten clumsier with age and goes skidding around into various walls and other harmful objects, costing him a great deal in hospitalization fees. In addition, Zonik was later afflicted with chronic agoraphobia. Despite these traits, Zonik manages to be quite heroic thanks to his superspeed.

In Legacy Mother, Zonik is the one who blows up the second Moon of Doom, defeating his longtime enemy Dr Eggchair.
