Zonardians

Description

The population of Zonardia. One of the few cases in Battal history where something is both a Race and a eulithian resonance vector. The species appears to be half human and half White Dragon because that is in fact what they are (followers of Impera the Star Dragon insist that they are not half White Dragon, but in fact half "Star Dragon"). They are one of the crossbreed offspring of King Zonard, but somehow the first of that half-breed race were flung far backwards in time to a largely unpopulated continent southeast of The Sickle, extending in the the Ennumerable Sea.

The Zonardians flourished in this land, reaching a high level of cultural and technological/magical advancement.

Like White Dragons, Zonardians have long lifespans, superhuman strength, ice breath, and a love for shiny treasure and jewels. However, they can only glide, having long lost their ability to fly and posessing only tiny and vestigial wings. Thus, they developed the native Quasars into winged mounts, allowing them to travel wherever they please. They are also pretty good at burrowing, which is surprisng since digging holes doesn't seem like a good idea when you live on an island in the sky. A Zonardian shares a very special bond with their Quasar, and the two are usually inseperable.

Zonardians are usually isolationist, preferring to live up on their continent and develop their skills. However, it is not uncommon for a Zonardian to visit the surface of Battal to seek treasure, adventure, or to fool around with the other native species of Battal. This can sometimes end in tragedy. For instance, Raven Darkblood was taken to the surface to pick up some milk by her mom, and ended up lost and stranded on the surface for 15 years with no recolection of her home or any means of returning.
