The Year of Fate

The Elf-Witches observed many portents, omens, and auspicious signs in year 11,271 of their own calendar. So great was this Year of Fate deemed that it was written that the Elves chose this year to begin counting again, declaring this year 0 of a bold new age.

In particular one night in this year was known as the Night of Auspicious Portents, and saw the most unusual or miraculous events. Strangely, the only Elf-Witch born on that day was Lyriarranaas'a, who was marked as a child of great importance among the elves. By an interesting coincidence that lends some credence to the importance of this year, it was also the year that King Ronard was born.

• The Lost Tome of Elvish Witch Elemenstation rediscovered
• A mysterious man passed through the lands, distributing Parceltied Red Cheese (a favorite among elves) to all good elf children.
