Yaar, Yar, and Yore: The Epic Connections

A scholarly work written by Jenson Matthews which explored the thematic connections between Yaar, Yore, and Yar the Sorcerial, which are three similarly named things from ELotH canon.

The first several pages describe the collected knowledge of the three.

  • Yaar - A legendary cheese producing kingdom famous for being the first to discover the secret behind production of Yaar Cheddar.
  • Yar the Sorcerial - A powerful sorceror and time traveller, responsible for the sundering, cast into the empty void.
  • Yore - A wonderous city of Shadia ruled by Baren Lothrin, now destroyed.

What follows is an exploration of the non-connected nature of the narratives and story elements that surround these things and finally an analysis of how the three are not in any way similar. The conclusions drawn point to Tycho Brahe working at a deeper meta-contextual level that is so deep that even a careful literary review of the work is unable to unearth the hidden meaning that must be present.

This work is often pointed to as proof that The Elemenstor Saga is one of the great works of English Literature.
