Wyrm

Traditionally, in ELotH:TES the term wyrm has been used to indicate any sort of Dragon and is more or less used interchangably with the word. However, in The Grand Elemenstor of Magic a Wyrm is specifically a "Disgusting insectoid dragons with hundreds of legs and acidic spit."

Discussion

Tim It seems that its entirely likely that the Wyrm depicted in TGEoM was specifically and intentionally meant to resemble the type of creatures that was Tyr the Wurm... which is interesting because it almost canonizes something that exists so far outside of canon.
bfg00 Perhaps the confusion came about because of the Charnel Wyrm which seems to be more in line with the description in TGEoM.
