Warrior Bards

The highest caliber Bards ever. Wielding weapons that are part instrument, they can cut down an entire army while rocking out harder than anything that came before them or will ever be seen again; partly because of their fighting skill, but mostly because of the fact that when a Warrior Bard swings a harpaxe or a swordtar, any remaining opponents are too mesmerized to do anything but watch.

The greatest Warrior Bard ever was Var Dolzeberg, known to his fans (everyone) as the great awesomelord.

A lesser-known Warrior Bard, perhaps second greatest (though who really cares to keep track after the awesomelord?), was Breng Halvertirimus, who never really had a nickname, but did have a very colorful parrot.

Other lesser known Warrior Bards included Violonus, generally frowned upon for being incredibly pretentious and using an Instruweapon of questionable Epicness.

Known colloquially as "one of the other warrior bards, the one with the campy weapon". His opinion on the name is unrecorded.

Hadn't heard of these before... is there any connection between these and the Battlebards?
The Warrior Bards came much later. The Warrior Bards did base their way of life on legends of the great conquests of the Battlebards, but a Warrior Bard is pretty much a solo act, not needing anyone to fend off their foes.
Except that the only time two Warrior Bards ever cooperated whas using a Harpaxe. But we all know how THAT went so that explains a lot of their solo act. Remeber how Warrior Bards usually mentions the Harpaxe as the "dreaded duet of 84'" in the canon. What the number 84 stands for is usually a big topic of disputes.
I've been doing some Rothgar research and I'm wondering if any Warrior bards ever took up his invention the Poisoned-Bladed Mouth-Harp-Harpsichord. Other then the disaster that was Rothgar's first concert when he invented it during his Thinker of Thoughts period, I cannot find any more information regarding it and figured that if it turned up anywhere again it would be among the ranks of the Warrior Bards- Ooknabah
Well, it was Co'ner's most powerful weapon in EFWQ XV, and the only thing that could actually make him into a useful party member, really. Aside from that, I'm not aware of any other appearences in the larger canon - Zeta
