Trans-Am

A carriage whose original (and now lost) purpose was specifically to allow the rider to cross the Desert of Ambrisoleir, they were briefly very popular. With modern aerodynamic styling, brightly colored (often brilliant red) gleaming paint jobs, and bright flourishes of polished chrome and Rystran.

After the desert was swallowed up, or was misplaced, or moved on (whatever happened to it) the Trans-Ambrisoleir Carriages continued to be a status symbol among the upwardly mobile, but production of them ceased. Before too long, as with all four digit wind bug fads, they fell largely out of use, becoming harder and harder to maintain in good working order. From there it wasn't a far leap for them to be religated to the junk heaps and poorer regions of Battal. When spotted in later eras such as during the TRotE period and beyond, they are often beat up "fixer upper" carriages driven by teens who are either unable to afford anything better, or charmed by the allure of all that the Trans-Am used to be.
