The Wizbits do Canada, Eh

Summary

A very bizarre special. While fighting MooMaa, he flings the Wizbits into a moderately sized town in Canada, where they are forced to attend an average Canadian highschool until they can find a way to get back to Battal. For an week, the Wizbits characters were forced to endure the life of average, mundane, teenagers.

Along the way, in attempt to make the special seem more relevant and hip, it also dealt with issues such as such as body image, drug dealing, drug use and abuse, drinking, grades, college, stress, suicide, menstruation, rape, child abuse, pedophilia, dating, teen pregnancy and childbirth, prematurity, abortion, adoption, sexuality, hate crimes, puberty, cutting, death, rumors, domestic violence, infidelity, cancer, bulimia, school shootings, theft, mental illness, gambling, penis size, masturbation, STDs, terrorism, race relations, nocturnal emissions, pornography, plastic surgery, visible erections, sex, oral sex, same-sex marriage and religion.

Which wouldn't be so bad if it weren't all squeezed into an hour-long animated special about magical children forced to attend high school in Canada for a week.

Moral

Penny: When in highschool, don't do anything. EVER.

Notes

Only aired in Canada, as the multitude of controversial topics were just too controversial for the US.

Originally, this was to be a the fifth film in the Bizarre Battal film series called "Freddy and Quiet Tom Go Canadian, Eh?", featuring Freddy and Quiet Tom attending a Canadian highschool to get their GEDs. When the actor playing Freddy was arrested for soliciting sex with his underage co-stars, the project was scrapped and re-worked into a more traditional animated special.

I heard this episode was so successful that its inspired a live action Canadian series called Wizbits: Elemenstor High due out next October. It was going to be something like Smallville, the OC, and Harry Potter mixed together with ELotH:TES lore, but with original characters not directly related to the Wizbits cartoons. Sounds promising, can anyone confirm this? - Zeta
Yeah.. sounds promising because its a direct north american production (collaborating with the Fox network I believe), rather than a translation of a japanese product. We'll see if Fox can carry through on it. Anybody have any more details?
