The Trouble With Tubas

The Wizbits, Episode 109

Aired 9 November, 1999

Summary

Having escaped from G'lgan's Isle with the help of their new friend, the Voice of Harbinger Portent, the Wizbits waste no time at all heading back for the Castle of Drafty Winds, and its precious secret. Before long, however, their bad luck catches up with them again -- this time in the form of the Dancing Polkarian Sisters of Octobavaria, who swoop down and capture Lander, Skip, and Zula in their diabolical Stein of Holding.

Can Penny out-tuba the sisters in time, and save her friends from a liquid fate?

Also, at the end of this episode is an ominous scene in which Char Reyarteb is discussing his plans for stopping the Wizbits with an unseen lieutenant. The very last shot in the episode shows the shadows lifting to reveal a wicked-looking Vel Jinglefist.

Moral

"I never would have been able to play my tuba if I didn't practice. Remember that anything worth doing is worth putting time and effort into, because that way you really get more out of your hobby. Plus it might save the life of your friends." - Penny

Comments

They totally gave the Polkarian Sisters digital bikinis. In the Japanese version, these broads are on display just as the Hierarchs made them.
Fixed a minor continuity issue here - someone confused Penny for Zula. Probably just a typo, everyone knows that Penny is the tuba player in the Wizbits!
