Summon Tokens

Small items, usually in the shape of coins or other such objects, permanently infused with Summoning Spells. Infused with the mighty powers of summon sorcery, these small enchanted trinkets can be activated by anyone to summon a specific entity. Summon tokens can only be used once every twelve hours. The more one uses a token, however, the longer the summoned entity can remain.

An entire class from the ELotH: TES - Pen and Paper RPG (the Token Master) was outlined in the Classtravel series module. This class had access to a large number of tokens, many of which introduced new a large variety of new spells and Creatures to the game, prompting some players to loudly complain that Token Masters were "way, way too powerful."

Summon tokens were released in May 2006 as collectible toys, shaped as coins with engraved images of 'summonable' beings.
