Back to Types of Elemenstors

Sorcellor

A Sorcellor is a Furniliar that has learned (or been taught, or enchanted) the art of Elemenstation. This is enormously rare and they're usually pretty bad at it, but every once in awhile you get one that actually manages to get it down better than their Elemenstor creator, and this usually creates a conflict ending in the Elemenstor casting a Carry spell to destroy the Furniliar. On occasion, these Sorcellors manage to survive and escape; the first escaped Sorcellors were the first of the freed Furniliars, and used their power to build the cities in which they now live.

Because of the drastically different method with which Furniliars must (by their very nature) handle elements, the new techniques they introduced produced their own fields of study for real Sorcerers or Elemenstors. This created the spinoff groups of Chronosorcellors and Telesorcellors.

I don't see any mention in the books of the Sorcellors being furniliars. I'm not sure how this could possibly canonical. -Tim
I believe that the general understanding is that Timeness Elemenstation and Carry Elemenstation are Unique from Chronosorcell'ry and Telesocell'ry, but still somehow related. My assumption was that the Chronosorcellors and Telesorcellors learned their art from the higher magiks of the Sorcellor Furniliars and so took on their name.
Are you perhaps referring to furniliars being possessed by the spirits of dead Elemenstors and/or dead Elemenstors being possessed by dead furniliars? At least in the Finnish translation, such beings are referred to as Sorcellors. -Belda
