Slaughter Beetle

The Slaughter Beetle is a small burrowing insect with a diet consisting mainly of beets and other flora. Its fearsome name comes from Avery Slaughter, the Entymologist who first discovered them. In fact, the general assumptions about this harmless little bug have led to some of the more hilarious murderous mishaps. In one notably silly event enemies of King Ronard filled his bed with the insects. Unfortunately for the would-be assasins, the Slaughter Beetles only succeeded in devouring his midnight snack, a tasty Snorkiepie. When they were caught they were summarily executed for "interfering with a kingly nosh."
