Shamanic Priest Caste of Arkleaf

One of The Four Factions of Arkleaf during the Epic Siege of Arkleaf. The Shamanic Priest Caste of Arkleaf (which counter-intuitively also included priestesses) was the ruling political faction of Arkleaf, from which was elected the High Priestess of the Arkenvale, who was the Council Premier of the High Council of Arkleaf.

Practicianers of a sort of Proto-Shamanic Elemenstation, the members of the Shamanic Priest Caste had a close affinity to the natural world. In addition to being the spritual beacons of the good people of Arkleaf, the priests and priestesses maintained elaborate Holy Sun Gardens which were open to the public and were highly conducive to silent reflection and meditation.

In the center of each circular Holy Sun Garden was a giant gilted aviary, where the falconmaster priests tended the flock of falconhawks and hawkfalcons, the totem birds of the caste.

The Shamanic Priest Caste was wiped out with most of the rest of the population of Arkleaf, the Cohoris being the only surviving faction.
