Brothic, half-breed Troll/Giant, is born a member of a dying race. As he assumes the mantle of Servant of the Elements, high priest of Pentamina and leader of the Giants, he begins to plan the resurrection of the Giants from their history into a glorious future. Follow the young, charismatic leader as he takes the first steps down the road to victory and the beginning of the Great War of Magiks and Things!

Plot

For millenia, the Giants have lived on the edges of their former home, now the Chasm of Eternal Sorrow, and slowly died as a race. Then, one day was born Brothic Gandlebar, a half-breed Troll/Giant, to the Servant of the Elements and leader of the Giants Danthic Gandlebar and his Troll wife Mandra Gandlebar in 15763. So began the great epic of his life, as he became their greatest and yet most tragic leader.

Brothic looks upon his people as he grows up among the Giants, and sees that they have lost the will to thrive. Upon his 80th birthday, when he comes of age and into his inheritance as Servant of the Elements and Giant chieftan, he sets his plan into motion. He has five great weapons, the Weapons of the Elements, forged by Dommelham Gentral and brings them when he meets with the Giant's Council and proposes a vast migration, first to conquer the Mountain Trolls, and then to the verdant lands of Blee, where his people can thrive.

The Elders consent, and Brothic leads the five Giant clans to the lands of the Mountain Trolls in the Wang Mountains. As they march they are attacked by King Pentral Wellbarrel, who strikes in fear, and defend themselves valiantly, driving his entire army into the dust in the Battle of the March, the first battle of the Great War of Magiks and Things. They then continue on to the land of the Mountain Trolls. The Mountain Trolls are hostile to young Brothic, seeing him as an abnormal result of an unholy union. They attack him, and he escapes them and upon advice from his mother moves his army inland to the Clanhouse of Trunharow, where he engages the Grand Chief Maanthil Demalthane in single combat and valiantly wins, thus becoming Grand Chief by combat of the Trolls. The family of Demalthane will not let the succession lie, and so they attack him and he bravely with his loyal bodyguard defeat them all. When the other tribes arrive, Brothic calls a Trungang and is acclaimed their leader, and begins a beneficial rule.
