Seeping Knawers

Seeping Knawers are the worst kinds of scavengers. They look like extremely fat rats with a large, oozing hole in their back. From this hole seeps out a very peculiar type of acid which, while not harming the Knawer, will slowly break down almost anything it touches. The reaction is slow enough that the substance can be easily wiped off without causing any damage to anyone who might touch it, but the Knawers use it to break down basically anything, which they slowly gnaw on and ultimately consume. This can be very troublesome, for a group of Knawers can easily over a couple days dissolve a large hole in the wall. Add in their incredibly slow movement speed and large mass and you have on your hands one very annoying creature that, while posing little threat to a random passerby, can cause tons of trouble and severely degrade property values.

Very common among the Ruins of Blee. The Seeping Knawers are mentioned in the Elemenstor Radio Dramas, where they corner a sleeping Fantasmaphila who is too petrified to move when she awakens to find herself surrounded.
