Schoolmarm

The Hero's partner in Epicness; the indispensible schoolmarm. A schoolmarm is good for any number of reasons; they will cook the heroes food, keep their feet on the ground, wield a weapon (but only if the hero is in a tight fix), and provide general love interest. When not adventuring, schoolmarm's have also been known to teach.

Some question has been raised as to whether or not the role of the schoolmarm is inherently sexist, but most fans are quoted as "not giving a damn".
