Savage Barrenlands

The Subterranean home of the War Men. After The Sundering, it was located in The Sickle. Mostly destroyed during The Unsundering, but rebuilt by Char Reyarteb in exchange for the War Men's servitude.

Regions

There are three major regions of these lands.

The Kingdom Cavern

The primary territory of the Savage Barrenlands, this is a massive chamber the size of an above ground kingdom. There are many fortresses, a small mountain range, two large forests, and a great southern lake fed by three streams. Dotted throughout the cavern are several tribal war man villages, unassociated with and War Chief's fortress.

The roof of this cavern, known as the Undersky, is fairly spectactual, and its own ecosystem unique within Battal.

The Savage Underlands

A network of twisting tunnels that lie beneath the Kingdom Cavern. Some have been fashioned into dungeons, catacombs, or bestiaries, while others sit unexplored and are home to dark creatures.

The Barren Outlands

An interconnected network of smaller caves and large tunnels. In some of the larger chambers there are smaller war man villages, others have small forests or lakes where the War Men hunt and fish. War Men often refer to these areas as "the wilderness." (Wur'agh in the ancient tongue)

In one of the Outland Caves is the village of the Orbs.
