Progonos the Timeblade

This sword shimmers with the anti-color of Time. With the slightest of cuts, it slays not the target, but one of their ancestors. The deeper the strike, the further back in time their family line is severed. This does not necessarily cause the target to never have been born. Instead, it will often rewrite history so that the men and women they trace their lineage through changes drastically, often changing their physical and magickal abilities. Occasionally one can get a one-hit-kill off with it, but the chance that your opponent could suddenly be descended from Thickneck the Ponderously Massive gives its wielder pause.

Due to the severe annoyance of the sword's power, it is normally stored within the only material known to seal its power: a 5 pound block of provolone carved with the Ever-Shifting Runes of High Auspice. At one point Sepathok chopped a tree down with Progonos, "just to see what would happen." A nearby house disappeared, killing the three poor peasants living inside.
