Ponderous Latosh

The Ponderous Latosh are thought to be extinct, but it's very rare for any one species to be lost forever in Battal: discounting those wiped out in the epic wars and catacylsmic natural disasters.

The Latosh are thought to be direct ancestors of the Wutel, or possibly the Battal Crabs. Their ultimate origins are unknown and even the wisest of archivists are unsure as to whether they heralded from the Very Lost Kingdoms or are, like so much in the history of the Khith-Cohoris-Wutel, a figment of someone's imagination.

Ponderous Latosh supposedly resemble gigantic lobsters, much like the Dhambig caste of the Wutel.

The Ponderous Latosh are best known for their ancient language, although a confirmed reading of Ancient Ponderous Latosh has never actually happened, as it's so difficult to identify.
