Penumbral Shadow Hands

Unholy, hideous, primeval forces of Unlight most famously created (out of humans) by Vilefang Darkmantle/the Tyrant of Otherhood. Appearing to the average observer to be pairs of beyond-black hands that seem more like hand-shaped holes in his/her/its perception, it is a bit of a stretch to actually call them creatures. An interesting trait they possess is that the right hand usually shows traits of intelligence and skill, while the left hand tends to display creativity and even what one might call imagination.

The biggest hotspot of Penumbral Shadow Hand activity was, of course, the Dark Citadel of the Vile, home of the aforementioned Vilefang/Tyrant. Its near-infinitely unlit interior provided the perfect environment for the Penumbral Shadow Hands, which delighted in plunging from above, grabbing intruders and either crushing them in their fists or annoyingly carrying them back to the entrance.
