Odd Otto's Greasy Pub

This excerpt from The Journey of Wolfgang Apprentice summarizes the flavor of the pub nicely.

"What duh ya want?" He grunted

"Uhhhh... What do you suggest?" I managed without inhaling.

"We's got swill, sludge, muck, and scum" said he.

"How's the muck today?" I said with a snicker.

"Well... its hot and runny." he said decidedly.

"Mmmm... that sounds tasty," I muttered, "... On the other hand, nevermind I'll just have a glass of water."

"Funny guy!" said Otto sarcastically as he wandered into the kitchen.

"Clean if ya got it!" I called after him.

I sat quietly and admired the colorful limericks scratched in the bar in front of me trying to ignore the boring stare being thrust at me by a disgusting gentleman next to me. I went from admiring the limericks to adding a few. Then correcting the spelling in many of them. In the end, the look of the man was much too hard to ignore.

"WHAT?!? WHAT ?!? WHAT DO YOU WANT?! IF YOU ARE GOING TO KILL ME THEN DO IT ALREADY OTHERWISE EAT YOUR SCUM!" I blared at him. He was obviously shocked.

I saw him continue to stare at me out of the corner of my eye along with the rest of the bar. After a few seconds he turned to his scum and continued to eat. You wouldn't believe the relief I felt at him doing this.

Otto came lumbering out of the kitchen holding a glass of mud and placed it before me. "Sorry we're all out of water." he murmured.

Above the entrance to the pub is a hand etched sign, presumably not posted by the establishment, but not taken down by the establishment either, which reads "Abandon All Lunch, Ye Who Enter Here."
