Noxious Gloat

"After teatime, I will take over the world!"

Villain of the children's book, How the Cuddlings Saved Harbinger Portent. Noxious Gloat is a Cuddling gone awry, having mastered both sorcery and with his heart set on world domination, although he had yet to actually decide on a plan to acquire power. Already his name was known far and wide as a master of terror and evil, thanks to a good PR team, although he had never even stepped on a bug - much less actually done anything bad. The other Cuddlings shunned him because he liked to wear the Goth Make-up of Loneliness.

Harbinger Portent accidentally stumbled upon his lair (a purple tent on a hillside) while out for a morning walk, and Gloat announced that he had "kidnapped" him. Portent was vaugely amused by having a little fuzzy cube with flippers for arms, and wearing a cape and bad make-up boss him around - so he decided to stick around for 20 minutes to humor the little fuzzy thing.

Luckily (kinda) for Portent, the other Cuddlings came to rescue him, using their powers to shoot heart-shaped candy rainbows to drive Gloat away into hiding.

Gloat has become considerably more popular with the hardcore ELotH:TES saga fanbase than the other Cuddlings, as they find the mix of his insane megalomania, melodramatic, fuzzy visage and actions amusing. He has appeared in several other places as comic relief, usually wielding some enchanted object such as Gloat's Toybox of Doom, or the Statue of Gloating that is usually some absurdly useless object with a half-assed enchantetment on it that is shaped like Noxious himself, in some way.

There are way too many Noxious Gloat t-shirts at Spencer's and Hot Topic. Will they ever stop selling those things? - Zeta
