Mr Rico Troughberry

Coach Troughberry is everything that's wrong with physical education. He is quite overweight himself, for one. He also encourages bullying, cruel behavior, and still bullies other people (most notably Mr Frostingdeath). Also, it is implied that he smells awful.

His greatest shame is the pass he missed in his own Senior Year, which cost the team the finals and - in his opinion - a shot at the pros. Vice Principal Radish mentions in episode 5 that Coach Troughberry has begged him on numerous occasions to bet sent back in Time to correct his mistake.

Coach Troughberry is hinted at being perverted several times throughout the first season. In Episode 7, one of the students says that Coach Troughberry pays students money for used women's lingerie. In Episode 10, he makes a clumsy pass at Summer.

Professor Cortex has a special hatred for Coach Troughberry, and the feeling is mutual. However, they grow to respect one another as the series goes on. In the last episode of season 1, Coach Troughberry is about to be fired for sexual indecency, but Professor Cortex offers to attempt to use the Summer to try to erase the Coach's obession with teenage girls from his mind via Brainmanglement Elemenstation.

Coach Troughberry is based on Heeroh Troughberry of the main canon.
