Back to Planes

Metrovilia

A plane of existence which occupied by a gigantic city-scape. The city is occupied by every creature you can imagine and some you can't and they're all constantly arguing over zoning laws and parking spaces. Nobody can remember what the plane looked like before the city or if indeed there ever was such a time. Metrovilia is governed by a very strict set of rules laid down by the various occupational unions organized throughout the plane. Every profession has a union, from baker to politician to window-wiper and they often butt heads with each other. There are Elemenstors who live on the plane, but they each have a separate union for every element and are thus so dispersed they have no real power.

Because there are spaces in the city left for grave-sites, the dead of Metrovilia are simply re-animated using Death Elemenstation and put back into society slightly worse for the wear. This has led to even more over-crowding and even worse sanitation regulation, but the various unions all can't agree on what to do about it.

Metrovilia once tried to maintain harvesting of it's own resources from the few city parks scattered across the plane. They have since given up on that and now can only survive by trading and exporting things enmasse with neighboring planes of existence.

A little-known fact is that King Goodlycooper was originally born on the plane of Metrovilia but got off the thing as soon as he could by hiding in a shipment of used fried-chicken buckets that was shipped off to be dumped onto a random plane, which happened to be Battal.
