Mare Lusil

One of the two kingdom hemispheres (Mares) of Lanumon, separated from Mare Hogol by the multicolored Rainbow River. The name of the kingdom loosely translates to "Land of Sorrow." As opposed to the lands of Mare Hogol, Mare Lusil has the larger seas, more varied aquatic life, and the silver-skinned inhabitants are pacifistic.

Interestingly, an enchantment on the lands mean that although the land is of Sorrow, no one within its borders is capable of shedding tears. Regardless of the feelings of its inhabitants, they are unable to weep and therefore cleans themselves of the emotion. As a result and general malaise blankets the lands. It is not uncommon that when a life-long inhabitant on Mare Lusil finally does pass from the "Land of Sorrow" into the "Land of Joy" their first act is often to break down and cry uncontrollably, sometimes for hours.
