Maple Leaf Productions

The production company that has partnered with the Fox Network in order to produce Wizbits: Elemenstor High.

History

Maple Leaf Productions was founded in Toronto in 1983 by Brahm Singer and Alphonse Reliquary. The two began immediately collaborating in the experimental film genre. After a series of iterations (documented elsewhere on this wiki) the pair produced the series Cloudbuster Dyskinesia; short abstracted dramas targetted as children's programming. The series was tremendously successful throughout Canada and in additional to winning countless accolades and awards, it brought in funding for several additional projects.

Not long after the projects has begun, Singer took a leave of absence from the company. Under Reliquary's guidance, the company produced two other children's dramas; Just the Bunnies and a still as of yet unreleased and untitled series that was merely referred to as Personal Project when it was in production.

Just the Bunnies was also well received, but it was decided that it was time for MLP to branch out. It was then that Singer returned from his leave. In his absence, Singer had discovered The Wizbits and worked with James Langomedes on The Wizbits do Canada, eh. Leveraging this relationship, and Singer's new love the The Elemenstor Saga, Wizbits: Elemenstor High began immediately.

Other Current Projects

MLP is the primary sponsor of the Battal LARPing Guild. Additionally it bought out the copyright to Epic Throbbing of the Throbbingarchs, the Throbmenstor Throb and is producing a "high class erotica" sequel, Epic Throbbing of the Throbbingarchs, the Elemenwhores due in 2007. Alphonse's stated aim for Maple Leaf Productions is to "Become the only place you have to go for quality live action Elemenstation properties."

Also attributed to Alphonse, and often in conjunction with the above statement, he has reportedly stated that he also thought that MLP should corner the market on making high quality soap from human lard, but as of yet, no official products have been released or even announced to back this claim.
