Lander
Lander is the character in The Wizbits based on the young Lander Phoenixsong.
Background
From the Village of Delberry, the Child Necron Lander. The ashen-haired disciple of the mortician-baron Mordechai, Lander plucked the virescent rubian from the creaking oak named the Heart of Earth. The tree's once-lofting boughs bent a final time with its singular orb, only to wither after Lander plucked its glowing, rune-flared fruit. Though skilled at coaxing the Earth to give up her loamy dead, Lander could not revive the Heart of Earth.
On the Show
Lander is the serious, straightforward adventurer. Also the most moralistically strong of the characters, always a voice of reason in the stormy adventures the Wizbits face. He is also unusually fond of writing annoyingly "goth" poetry, though he writes about this in his secret Living Journal of Ashengray. Despite his serious nature, he is also the most enthused by combat, and, before season 2, was prone to shouting all kind of vaguely word-sounding things in the midst of encounters.
Lander's familiar: Professor Dervmont, a barely-sentient member of the Quilp, a race of six-legged porcupine.
