Jellins
In the Shushipodian pantheon, their four gods of the great seas of Battal communicate with their subjects through Jellins. These diaphanous vaguely humanoid jellyfish glow dimly with an ethereal silver light. They can hang virtually motionlessly in the swiftest flowing currents or wash away in the blink of an eye in the deadest of calm waters. Their lilting songs are said to be able to compel a Shushipodian to follow any course of action. Most jellins are physically indistinct from any other.
The four arch-jellins, larger and wreathed in something firey-red and billowing that based on varying descriptions may be red ink, cloth, fire, or tentacles, are Arbreal, Hicheal, Nebreal, and Tapheal. Each wields a golden artifact (crown, spear, bowl, net respectively) that symbolizes their domain. The arch-jellins, and all jellins, appear to serve all four deities of the Shushipodian pantheon equally.
