How Elemenstation Works
Confused about what an Elemenstor really does? This is the quick and simple version.
First Stage
Elemenstors can be of any species, however the most described are human. That's probably because of they being one of the original Most Discerning Races. Other races usually become Sorcerers, but some beings are able to function as Elemenstors without special training, like Witch-Elves due to their special connection to the Element of Air.
The Knack for Elemenstation is not hereditary, but it's not a matter of random genetic roulette. It is theoretised that a mother (or, in weird case of Alice Phallus, the father) must encounter a natural cumulation of an elemental, and at least a passing amount of rubian in order to create the Knack.
Of course, there are also Knack Aware Microbes. But we hate it.
The Training
The Knack is not enough for the Elemenstor to Elemenstate. He, she or it must first be properly trained. For some, the power comes later in life, for some, as early as in childhood.
In fact, a lot of people with the Knack have received training as Sorcerors, because some teachers didn't appreciate future Elemenstors and decided to train them as Sorcerers. Such fate is the life of nearly the third Elemenstors, that's why spell using Elemenstors do not have any special name - IN. YER. FACE. Xorcelator bitches!*
In fact, since all magicks ultimately comes from Elements, Elemenstors are often most potent spell inventors.
The Very Elemenstoring
1. The knack comes from the very Element by itself. In fact, the source of the gift are Hierarchs. Which are the Elemenstors. Which is goddamned fucking deep. So, in essence the power of an Elemenstor is in theory infinite.
2. However, in reality it's not. First of all, there are various levels of power, from a low to high elemenstor, as there is a variety in the universe. Secondly, an elemenstor needs proper gifts and agreements to do anything.
3. Part of the Knack is establishing connection with elemanifestation, which are in reality aspects of elemental, which is aspect of element.

This is your basic Element. It is one of the building blocks of the universe and it can translate into anything. Nature of Elemenstor's Knack determines which Element is the dominating one, whether he could be called Water or Fire Elemenstor. Some, of course have no connection but very much power, like Harbinger Portent |

This is part of the Element. It could be called the brain of an Element, as it represents the part of Water that is self-aware and able to call itself water. In essence, the Elementals are what builds the Ginormous Soul |

| Gears |
Some Gear |
Gears are sent through an Elemenstave (usually) to the mind of an Elemenstor. With time, they are sort of imprinted into mind, so that an Elemenstor can strike gears without the need of contacting an Elemanifestation. |
