History's Largest Pie Fight

Back in the primeval time of the Wildlands, during The Great Crossing Whilst Looking at Scenery, a legendary and massive conflict took place between the Nevelost, Ecreekem and T'seb to which no other such battle would ever compare. When the Nevelost attempted to end a conflict for the second time by baking Eldritch Pie, the epic nature of the pies inspired a new kind of battle, the concept instantly spreading across the universe and firmly implanting itself in the timelime. This new kind of battle was the pie fight, and this first pie fight was so massive that every splat reverberated through time, causing people many miles away and thousands of years later to cough up meringue for no apparent reason. One pie was thrown so hard the target was teleported back in time, morphing into the concept of pie crust. It is said that it rained filling and crust pieces over the site of the battle for well over a century.

Due to the strange nature of Eldritch Pie, the concept of the pie itself stored memories of the battle. After the battle, any and all attempts to start a pie fight with an Eldritch Pie will result in a fatal seizure. Of course, anybody can use an Eldritch Pie to end a pie fight, and often do.
