Gwee Apes

The Gwee Apes are a race of mountain dwelling apes residing primarily in The Beutrafficades. They are a very mysterious race of apes, rarely making contact with other peoples other than to attack hikers. Not much is known of the Gwee Apes and they were only known by a few in The Sundered Era, in which most of the research on the apes was done. It is believed that the Gwee Apes are one of the oldest races ever. In fact, it is believed by some that Gwee Apes were a joke played by the Hierarchs at the height of their power.

The appearance of the Gwee Apes is very much like a normal mountainous ape except for their upright walking and speech of grunts and howls. Their language is unknown to anyone other than a Gwee Ape.

Their behavior is very normal as far as more civilized apes go. They eat lice out of each other's hair, they build crude huts to sleep in, and they care for their young. Their customs are unknown because of their reclusiveness.

Perhaps the most interesting fact that we know about the Gwee Apes in the fact that they are all male. In fact, they are entirely homosexual and it is a long-standing mystery as to how Gwee Apes reproduce. There are no records of a heterosexual Gwee Ape, ever.
