Back to The Song of the Sorcelator

Grimm Shado

Gruff, manly hero of that utter hack L H Franzibald's travestial work The Song of the Sorcelator, Grimm Shado is a man on a mission. He is a Sorcelator of Fieriness and Bedarkening - two of the "elementials" present in Franzibald's trashy fantasy series - and in this respect is separate from the other Sorcelators in that he can manipulate two elementials at once. This concept, like everything else in the Sorcelator books, is probably stolen from Tycho Brahe, although no-one is quite sure where from but it certainly is, probably from a footnote somewhere that you non-true fans didn't bother to read.

Grimm's quest in life is twofold; primarily, he searches the post-apocalyptic deserts of his world relentlessly for the details of his true parentage, living as a nomadic "spellbiker". Secondarily, he seeks to darkly and handsomely (and dangerously) score with totally bitchin' hot cyberpunk wasteland chicks. The main difference we can percieve here from Brahe's masterwork is that Sorcelator has technology, most of it robots. This is basically Franzibald's only innovation in his feeble attempt to define his saga as a separate entity, and it is typical of his terrible writing that he would simply insert a tired old internet meme and call it good.

Throughout the Sorcelator Saga, Grimm fights manifold foes, most of them rehashes of classic Elemenstor creatures and villains with bionic parts attached. The Cybercthonicswinemen or the Robo-Chair Brigade are perfect examples of this - or, of course, the recurring group of villains who hold numerous dark secrets from Grimm's darkly enshadowed past, the Pirate Assassins and their Metal Friends. Sans the "Metal Friends" suffix, this group matches perfectly with the Assassin Pirates from Book 4. For shame, Franzibald. For shame.

Grimm is included in this wiki because his likeness appears in the ElamenSTAR episode "Elemenstory, My Dear Wendel," where several minutes of not-so-subtle mockery take place before the episode continues. For the most part, however, song stuff goes here: http://tsots.pbwiki.com (instead of filling this Epic wiki with the ravings of an inept hack).

Equipment

Grimm Shado's primary weapons, when he is not using his considerable robo-kung-fu prowess to manually pummel his enemies, are his twin cybermagical Wands, Hurt and Burn. Despite the inherent tiredness of the idea behind having two things to increase appeal, even the most jaded ELotH: TES fans tend to agree that Hurt and Burn are "pretty awesome". Quotes from high-ranking members of the community include "Two wands? That's actually pretty bitchin' man." or "Jesus, think of all the stuff you could do with two wands."

In addition to his twin wands, Grimm possesses cyber-enhanced triple wand claws. Like cyberpunk-inspired retractable "spurs" (the most well-known example being Wolverine's triple spurs or "claws" in Marvel comic books), these wand claws emerge from the back of Grimm's right hand; each acts both as a conventional spur (for cutting) and as a wand (bringing the total number of wands Grimm regularly uses to five). The dual nature of these wand-claws helps explain why more weak-willed ELotH:TES fans have been known to sneak a look at Grimm's adventures from time to time.

Discussion

tripe I think he carries "Hurt and Burn" and also has wand claws (like wolverine has adamantium claws). Of course I'll never admit that I've read any of The Song of the Sorcelator
anon Wait, you mean he has claws that are literally made out of wands? Wow! I mean, um, that's lame, obviously. But also awesome.
Kenneth Pike Fixed.
