Gorgeous Natives Island

A small island off the western coast of The Shield. Gorgeous Natives Island is the premier vacation hotspot of Battal: boasting two resort inns, a private beach, a nude beach (though not private) and various 'tropical bars,' it's the perfect place for any vacation!

Discovery

Gorgeous Natives Island was discovered in 9,776 by Felicio Deteriandofernez. On a fateful drunken night, Felicio stumbled his way to the beach, and, having dricken several pints of Liquid Knack Juice, assumed he'd be able to live a peaceful life under the sea. The next morning, he woke up on an unknown shore. Felicio mistakenly assumed he'd been floating in the sea for at least a year ('Look how wet I am!'), and set out a plan to get himself rescued. He quickly wrote a note, in it claiming to have found a wonderful island full of gorgeous natives, stuffed it in one of his bottles of Liquid Knack Juice, and sent it into the great blue sea.

Back on the mainland, the bottle washed up and was quickly found. Word traveled fast of 'Gorgeous Natives Island,' and before you knew it everyone and his brother was headed first for the nearest canoe shop (as a side note, this period of time is also known as the Great Canoe Maker Massacre) and then rushed off to find the island. Since no coordinates or directions were given, only a few voyagers made it to Gorgeous Natives Island (this period is also known as the Many Corpses on the Beaches Era). Sadly, Felicio's plan slightly backfired when he was murdered in a fit of rage by those who discovered that the natives were only 'moderately to exceptionally attractive.'

Development as a Tourist Attraction

In 11,347, Henry Entrepenesier traveled to Gorgeous Natives Island in hopes of finding buried treasure, but after excavating for seventy elim (about a sixth of a day, or roughly four relative hours) with no treasure to be seen, he gave up (he was never known for his diligence). Instead he decided he had dug a sturdy foundation and built Gorgeous Native Island's first resort hotel. From there, things only went up, with the development of a second resort hotel and many Tropical Bars.

While it's not as succesful as it may seem (residents of Battal aren't usually known for their fun-loving sides), most businesses still make a profit through the growth and smuggling of the Cokanibinoid Plant. In fact, some might call Gorgeous Natives a front for the Cokanibinoid Trade.

Origins of the Islance

It is suspected that this island may be a long lost un-unbreakened portion of Battal. The available evidence suggests that this may have been the forgotten island of Tropica.
