Gologas Izzabulli, Ringleader of the Mean Elves

Though often mistaken for a figure of some leadership amongst his people, the acerbic Gologas merely acted as a representative of the Mean Elves on behalf of Queen-Princess Xanzandrinzel, who said she could not be bothered to emerge from The Underdeep to tend to the concerns of the surface-dwellers. In truth, it was because she was blind as a bat-mouse, like many of her people when above ground, and designated Gologas as her ambassador as he had the best eyesight, being able to see as far as three or four feet in front of himself in broad daylight.

Gologas was not of much political importance at all in The Underdeep, but had the distinction of being a Ringleader (one who pierces the bodies of others with magic and decorative rings) and was thus considered to be quite holy as well as "hip" within the society of the Mean Elves. He was dispatched from the capital of Great Gandandersanden to serve on The Reunified Elfish Council of Elven Factions during the Unlight War.

He quickly established a reputation as being a huge pain in the ass, often being reprimanded by Council Chair-elf K'los for refusing to adhere to elfin dress codes (which clearly denoted long flowy robes and head-circlets), which Gologas openly defied by being clad only in the small strips of leather that dangled from his multitude of magic ring piercings. His defiance also showed itself in the Council's votes, which he always abstained from, stating that voting was for "conformists". He also generally refused to use any linguistic pattern other than that of Elves:

"K'los, ayn nir'r Magus W’Teelf eya'ly yw Shik'leSeal'd," Gologas said then laughed cruelly.

"That's quite enough of that, Gologas! Just because I do not speak your arcane language does not mean I cannot recognise my own name when spoken," interjected the indignant Magus of the W’Teelf.

Gologas turned and adopted a blank expression of complete innocence. "Just because we're speaking in another language, Magus, it doesn't automatically mean that we're talking about you."

-- excerpted from The Dawn of Unlight's Setting, Part 2: Victory's Deathknell

There of course were notable exceptions to this, mostly in places where Gologas' desperation or laziness overwhelmed his condescending attitude.

After the defeat of Vhadxi and Mo-pi, Gologas returned to the Empire of Dark where he used his celebrity as a political figure of the overworld and his talent as a Ringleader to rise to a position of some importance within the Cult of the Crawlies.
