Glaivemistress of Arvalyyon

A Glaivemistress of Arvalyyon. She appears from the future in Book 13 to set right all the evils of Battal. Although well meaning, she is unprepared for the challenges involved, particularly because the kingdom from which she comes is untouched by war and she is unfamiliar with its horrors.

When Battal was ravaged by the horrors of The Resundering, the unnamed Glaivemistress pulled strings to collect the greatest Elemenstors in her kingdom to crush the essense of Timenes long enough to send her back to the era her scholars believed kicked off a series of events ending in the Resundering. Armed with her glaive, the brutal Landslayer, a device to measure Knack-Aware Microbes, a completely impractical suit of delicate crystaline armor, and determination, she set forth through time to set things right.

What emerged on the other side was her more or less single-handedly destroying Battal as it was known.

After convuluting things all up with her KAM theories and figure-rattling, her efforts to find and destroy the man/woman/child/thingey were ultimately for naught. Her actions, in fact, set up the Resundering--particularly near the end, when she crashes down Landslayer at Harbinger Portent, only whiff entirely and instead send a massive fault line tearing through The Sickle. Realizing what she had done, she managed to fit in a final few words before dying of a massive overdose of irony.
