Floor the Stupid

Occasionally, a being of the race of Men becomes convinced that he is, in fact, a Furniliar. A bit more rarely, however, does he happen to be royalty. And even more rarely does he happen to be descended from King Ronard and bear the watermelon-esque mental capacity that is the hallmark of that lineage. Floor the Stupid was a prime example of the unfortunate juxtaposition of these three conditions.

Though properly he would have been known as "Prince Crystalcrown", his unyielding belief that he was a sentient slab of marble flooring made rule of his kingdom, as well as marriage and the rearing of a proper heir, quite impossible. Additionally, referring to him as "The Prince" would often confuse visitors to the palace who assumed that he was the husband, and not the brother, of Princess Crystalcrown. Instead, he took to being called Floor, the Stupid, which is the moniker to which he was most commonly referred anyway.

Floor's adventures were confined to those which took place in the throne room to which he believed he was affixed. As most of the Crystalcrown Chronicles take place in this room, his role is quite significant despite his mental condition.

Often he is seen being swept by Merm the Cruelish Prankster, who found the whole situation delightfully funny.
