Dragonapple Wine
A popular fermented beverage made from thrice-aged Dragonapple juice. Dragonapple wine is dark green in color, with the sickly-sweet aroma of cinammon and candied cloves.
Most taverns serve this wine, although Dwarves are known to despise it for the embarassing gastrointestinal affliction that it sticks them with.
Thrice-Aging
Thrice-Aging is a brewing technique championed by The Low-Elves, whereby a beverage may be aged three times simultaneously. How this is done is a mystery to most, and consequently, the Low-Elves of Finkfru enjoy a monopoly on the production of Dragonapple wine.
Scholars speculate that the process works somewhat like this:
- Dragonapple juice is left to ferment in barrels
- Low-Elves forget the barrels
- Upon discovering the barrels, Low-Elves become excited and forget them again
- Upon rediscovering the barrels, Low-Elves conclude that the wine is only Twice-Aged and throw it out
- What are these barrels doing out here?
- Thrice-Aged Dragonapple Wine is bottled and enjoyed by all
