Definitely Not Mister Bickles

Also See: The Kings Council

The Kingdoms of Ithbarg and Ithbarg II had much difficulty in establishing firm identities for themselves. The folk of other kingdoms of The Worldly Place were constantly confusing one of the Ithbargs for the other, forgetting which King was which, and constantly mispronouncing their names the whole time.

Pird Robang and Pird Iivi decided that they would put a stop to this foolishness once and for all, by definitively drawing the line between their kingdoms using the definitive mark of identity that defined a Magic Sword King as the ruler of his people. Which was of course, his sword.

The Pirdii commissioned the Dwarves who dwelt in the lee of the Beutrafficades, (also known as the Old Lost Dwarf Kingdom Beneath Some Mountains Somewhere) to craft each of them a Magic Sword that would definitely not be anything like the other one.

The result was an utter failure. The products of this forging, named Mister Bickles and Definitely Not Mister Bickles did nothing to dispell the confusion of the two Ithbargs by the populace of the Twelve Realms of Antior, much to the distress of the Pirdii.

Crafted from unnamed dwarven steel, Definitely Not Mister Bickles had the gift of rhyming speech when wielded by one truly fit to rule as king of his people. It was said that it was intended that when paired with the other sword in the presence of the two kings, they would spontaneously compose epic poetry.

However, when carried by one who was completely incompetent in matters of leadership and government, the sword would start laughing uncontrollably in a harsh metallic tone, which is perhaps why King Veevuf always wore it in such a heavily insulated sheath, from which he refused to draw the blade.

Ironically, it was King Veevuf who was pure of heart and King Dosnuk who was a true king... but the Dwarven blacksmiths couldn't tell them apart and they ended up with the wrong swords. If not for this misunderstanding, the swords would have had the intended effect and the Kings of Ithbargs would have been known through history for their Epicness... or at least the quality poetry of their swords.
