Looking for all the world like a combination of a velociraptor and a giant pink bunny, Deathnotes are cave-dwelling creatures of sound. Although they have three meager eyes, their main sense is that of their hearing. Using their gigantic floppy ears, they are able to echo locate and listen to the world around them. On their backs are a series of holes from which they can inhale to puff themselves up full of air - which they can then force out of their mouth to create destructive blasts of music, hence their names.

Although grumpy, they are not specifically evil or predatory, and mostly subsist on cave fungus and guano. Dwarves have been known to raise them as pets to help them clear away mining debris with their sonic booms.
