There seems to me to be a contradiction between the information on The Elemenstor Saga and the Wizbits: The Movie pages, specifically over whether an ELotH:TES film has actually been made yet. I've added a comment which I think explains things - that the former is in fact based on a very similar, but different fantasy series entirely - but I could be wrong, and any corrections from someone who knows better would be appreciated.
Supposedly there indeed has been an ELotH:TES film made.. several in fact. There is a cover-up though. See: The Elemenstor Saga I haven't seen them myself.
There could be considered to be a contradiction between the two RPG pages as well, ELotH : The Furnishing and the ELotH: TES - Pen and Paper RPG, but I don't believe so: as far as I'm aware, both products were in fact made, and there was a brief legal battle between the two companies over which, if either, was actually the official Saga tie-in. I don't believe that conflict was ever resolved, actually...
You're mixing things up: the elements shown in the ELotH:TES symbol are Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, supplemented by the secondary elements Life, Death, Stream, and Carry (cf. Elements). The Dark Elements aren't part of the symbol, and thank God! Can you imagine the havoc if the symbol were to include The Unspeakable in any shape or form? kmr
There is a contradiction when it comes to the symbol of the series. In Elemenstors: An Introduction it only lists seven elements: Fire, Water, Air, Earth, Blood, Unlight and The Unspeakable. But in the symbol, there are eight elements. Is one of those elements Heart? If so, wouldn't the existence of Heart no longer be a rumor?
What was Shezdor doing with the Other Blade in the year 524? The Swords of Sepathok wouldn't even exist for millenia, and Shezdor wasn't noted for time travel.
Well.. that's the reason I went through all the pages searching for years and putting them on the timeline... there must be a really crazy explaination for this. Perhaps Shezdor was... very very lost? - tim
I think the year 524 on the Temple on the Mountain page may have just been a typo, and was meant to be the year 19524.
That'd still be a few hundred years before he started questing for the swords. Maybe it's a calendar system issue, but there's nothing notable between WX and TRotE for anyone to call year zero.
There is an alternate timeline shown in The Verdant Anguish in which Verdant Anuerism and Sepathok fight for the 100 Swords of Sepathok not in the Unsundering era but in the Magic Sword Kings Period. This horrifying continuity blip was rapidly retconned out of existence in Holy Crap How Do I Fix This but despite this several people gained the impression that Sepathok (and by extension, Shezdor) were indeed active around the Battalian epoch (i.e. the years 0 to 524ish). Shezdor was actually active in the early 17,000s and the hilarious Temple on the Mountain escapade took place in 17,124. I had a devil of a time tracking down all the knock-on effects of this thing, but I think everything is totally cleared up now. I really hate The Verdant Anguish - stuff like this happens all the time in temporal continuity discussions on my forum, mostly due to that one story. -SamSim
Logical enough. Now why's Shezdor on the timeline for 20,039-20,049?
This is much simpler to explain. I think somebody misread "four and a half centuries later" on the 100 Swords of Sepathok page as "four and a half millennia later". It's corrected now. Shezdor's quest was quite definitely between 17,119 and 17,129. -SamSim
It doesn't seem as though Yar the Sorcerial is really one of the sorcerials. Is that possible? -tim
I found the solution to the problem of Yar and the sorcerials in an old issue of ELOTH:TES magazine. Yar was NOT a sorcerial--sorcerial simply refers to his powers of sorc'ley. For a more full explanation, please visit the sorcerials page. -Koopa
Quite correct, to the best of my knowledge. "Sorcerial" is applied to Yar's name as an adjective and it is purely coincidence that there is a people which go by the same name, used as a noun. -256
We need to resolve the dispiute over The Forlorn Era Of Pensive Twiddle--is it canon or is it fanfic? If its canon, how come it conflicts with The Hierarchy Era and the various textual references in The Four Vales page?
It might be one of those rare myth-shrouded legends which is actually just a legend.
The info on The Hierarchy, the metaphysics of the Creation Story, and the Hierarchs]' being timeless all seems to go against the Era of Pensive Twiddle. However it could be that that era exists as a belief within Battal - Quizatzhaderac
Quizatzhaderac is correct. The Forlorn Era is fictional within the context of ELotH. Forlorn Era works are (mostly) canonical, but only in that they are stories which "real" ELotH characters have been heard to tell to one another. I've cleared this up. -SamSim

Contradictions Discussion

During my Wizbits cleanup spree I've been trying to get straight about which Wizbits are which in what versions- I've created a disambig page at Answers finally cleared up here that I think is pretty authoritative. But now somebody needs to go through and clean up the individual character pages to reflect that info. A lot of people were confused because the names are all so similar... but I could use some help fixing it all up. -toshi.m
Nice job on the Wizbits disambig page there..that was one task I think none of us wanted to tackle, but you cleared it up well.-knighten
Why thank you ^_^ -toshi.m
