Castle Eureka

A mysterious castle the size of a small country that seems to exist outside Timenes and Spacenes, it is the final resting place of the Four Underdogs. When the four started to grow old, and had finished passing on their teachings at the Cerulean Citadel, they pooled their powers together and created this magificent work of Elemenstation.

The castle itself seems to exist independently outside of time and space, although it has a countryside that seems to extend infinitely around it, no other sigificant landmarks besides the castle gardens and the castle itself exist. The castle itself is a transchanted Furniliar, possibly the most powerful one ever created. It has malleable insides, which change and shift according to the whims of itself, and of its occupants. Thus, the castle seems to have a neverending supply of invisible servants.

Being outside of Timenes, time does not pass within the castle, thus making it so that any of the Castle's occupants never dies of age.

Perhaps most interesting of all, are the castle's many magical doors and portraits. The castle itself contains 198,000 various portals (doors, portraits, toilet bowls) into different places - futuristic cities, jungles, space stations, snowy peaks, undersea cities. Although more than one of them lead to certain places in Battal, most of the portals seem to lead to parallel worlds entirely. Occupants of the castle can dip in and out of these various universes at ease.

It has been suggested that the worlds within that castle are not linked by the portals, but are rather themselves created by the Castle. Of course, at this point, one's brain begins to hurt - the Four Underdogs were born on Battal, so they built the castle, which created Battal, which caused the Four Underdogs to come into being, so they built the castle, etc. etc. etc. It has been noted that the Castle has structural aspects similar to the Starborn Gem, and some think it may even be a prototype of it.

The Castle appears in several ElemenstorLance novels, and is the primary setting for Players of Battal, and plays an important role in Perilous Circumstances and The Cerulean Circle. The Four Underdogs, aged but still quite alive, make appearences in both of the books - but do not play very important roles in the plots. It is a popular setting in Fan Fiction, as not only do fanfiction authors get to write a story with the Four Underdogs, but it also gives them free-license to legitimately include any character or location they can think of. Thus, Castle Eureka stories tend to lean heavy into crossovers.
